How many people can I book per time slot?

You can book for up to 6 people per time slot. When you come to booking please use the drop-down menu titled ‘Number of Visitors’.

Where there says ‘1 available slot’ does this mean I can only book for 1 person?

No this refers to the number of time slots available that day. You can book for up to 6 people per time slot.

Can I add additional people to my booking after I have booked?

Yes please contact info@hangingstones.org to discuss how to do this.

Do I need a ticket?

No all the relevant details of your booking will be confirmed in your booking confirmation email. Please check your spam and junk folders for this if you cannot see it in your inbox. If you have not received it please contact info@hangingstones.org.

Who do I contact if I’m having trouble booking?

Can I have a refund or swap my booking to another day?

Hanging Stones bookings are non-refundable and are non-transferable.

Where does the walk start & end?

The walk is a 6-mile round loop and starts and ends at the Milburn Arms in Rosedale Abbey. While the pub is unfortunately closed there is free parking here for walkers.

Please note that you will need to collect the key and map, at the time of your booking from Sevenford House in Rosedale Abbey, which is a 2-minute drive/ 15-minute walk away from the Milburn Arms.

Is there parking?

Yes there is free parking at the Milburn Arms in Rosedale Abbey, where you start and finish the walk. Please note that the pub is unfortunately closed at this time.

Are any of the houses accessible by car?

Yes there are a number that are accessible by car, please email info@hangingstones.org  for further details.

Can I walk part of Hanging Stones?

There is a possibility to walk to the first few houses Heygate Thorns (in production), Hanging Stones and Southfield House and then turn back but anything further than this proves difficult as the walk is a circular loop.
