WALK OVERVIEW
The walk is approximately 6 miles over varying terrain and is suitable for proficient walkers. The walk requires reasonable map-reading skills and takes around 5 to 6 hours.
Dogs are welcome on leads. Suitable footwear is essential as the ground can become difficult underfoot during periods of wet weather.
The walk is a circular loop that begins and ends at the Milburn Arms in Rosedale Abbey. Whilst the pub remains closed there is free parking here for walkers.
IMPORTANT TRAVEL ADVICE
In wintry conditions, when approaching Rosedale from the A170 please use the Wrelton/Cropton route, and under no circumstances use the Hutton le Hole/Chimney Bank route which is favoured by sat nav.
Please read our FAQs for further information on your visit.
